Masjid Al-Salaam & Education Centre currently has a vacancy for a part-time teacher as well as substitute teachers at The Al-Salaam Masjid Weekend Islamic Academy, Burnaby.
Hours: Fridays 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Saturdays 11:00 am to 2:00 pm
Required Qualifications:
- Fluent in English and Arabic; both written and spoken
- Able to teach Islamic studies - Able to teach Quran with correct pronunciation - Has knowledge of Tajweed rules and is able to apply them
- Working knowledge of computers is preferred - Has experience in teaching, extracurricular activities and class control - Cooperative and hardworking - Has Legal permit to work in Canada
